A History of Histories: Epics, Chronicles, and Inquiries from Herodotus and Thucydides to the Twentieth Century

A History of Histories: Epics, Chronicles, and Inquiries from Herodotus and Thucydides to the Twentieth Century - John Burrows (red.) This is a great read, though far too much for me to really appreciate. It's a run through 2500 years of writing and recording history. The knowledge of - and sympathy for - a vast array of historians is quite a feat. The details will be lost from my mind, but it was a great pleasure to get a sense of different movements and fads in looking to the past.
