This is a great introduction to the Reformation. It's an easy read, and distils the ideas and issues in a clear manner. It reveals to us a world that is both like ours and quite alien. At root, it reminds that the question 'How can a person be right with God?' is not irrelevant nor merely private. Its answer plays out in the whole of life, from the most personal to the most public. It's a question we can never avoid or suppress. So it's worth learning about previous answers, and how the answer's implications shaped history.
